The Competency Based Training Fund Management Unit (CMU), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (METI) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) hosted its 2nd Graduation Ceremony on June 1, 2017. This ceremony celebrated the successful certification of over 700 Barbadians in National/Caribbean Vocational Qualifications by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Council.
The Graduation Ceremony was attended by officials from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (METI), the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Human Resource Development (MLSD), the TVET Council and key stakeholders within the private sector. The feature address was delivered by Ms. Brittany Brathwaite, Labour Management Advisor of the Barbados Employers’ Confederation.
