The 6th Barbados International Conference on Higher Education took place from October 28 to 31, 2018 at the Hilton Resort Barbados, under the theme “Modern Education and Economic Stimulation: Innovation, Praxis, and Sustainability”. This conference featured key presenters from all over the world, and was designed to facilitate discussion among delegates, and the sharing of innovations, policies, solutions and strategies relevant to all disciplines.
The Competency-Based Training Fund (CBTF) participated in this conference by hosting a panel discussion on the impact of the CBTF programme on Workforce Development, Industry and Training Institutions in Barbados. The objectives of the Fund along with the sustainability and the way forward for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) were also discussed.
