A team of Directors from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) visited the partnership between the Barbados Vocational Training Board (BVTB) and Greaves Furniture Ltd on September 22, 2017 at E.W Wood Classics Inc. This partnership was developed to improve the competencies of workers in the Furniture Making Sector by providing them with the skills which will enable them to function effectively within their respective organizations. The training targeted fifty (50) Production Workers and Supervisors in the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) Furniture Making Level 2.
The Directors utilized this opportunity to interact with the trainees and view the various custom-designed products. Representatives included officials from the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (METI), the Competency Based Training Fund Management Unit (CMU), and the Barbados Vocational Training Board (BVTB).
