Capacity Building in Stevedoring Operations at the Barbados Port

Partnership Overview

The Barbados Port Inc has embarked on their proposal – Capacity Building in Stevedoring Operations at the Port of Bridgetown – together with their long-time training partner, the Caribbean Maritime Institute. 

The objective is to provide training, development and certification for 20 Dockers, 55 Equipment Operators and 20 Cargo Supervisors. All in an effort to maintain safety standards, prevent accidents, reduce damage to cargo, improve efficiency and productivity and promote employee mobility. 

Candidates will be trained in Stevedoring CVQ Levels 1 or 2.
